How it works

A balm that protects as well as softens

LipDrink is an oil-and-plant-wax balm, castor, carrot and avocado oils set with carnauba, with titanium dioxide for mineral SPF 15, so the lips get sun cover with the conditioning. Aloe and lotus extracts hydrate, green tea, coffee and blackberry extracts add antioxidants, and vitamins C and E keep the oils fresh. A sheer wash of pigment in the tinted shades.

The finish

Soft, slightly glossy and comfortable, with just enough tint to look finished. Builds a little; never heavy.

The fit

The everyday lip for a mineral-makeup day, and the balm to wear over Just Kissed for shine. Sheer is the no-colour balm; Buff a nude; Flirt a peachy pink.

Who it suits

Dry, chapped or sun-exposed lips; anyone who wants colour without the upkeep of a lipstick; and outdoor days, where the lips are the part of the face most often missed by sunscreen.

Worth knowing

Three shades here: Sheer, Buff and Flirt. Vegan, with plant waxes rather than beeswax, wheat-free, no synthetic fragrance, though it carries a little lemon peel oil for scent, so check it with a citrus sensitivity. SPF 15 on lips needs reapplying through the day to count.

How to use

Apply straight from the stick as often as lips need it, and before sun exposure. Reapply after eating or drinking for the SPF to keep working.

Over Just Kissed for a glossy finish; under PurePressed for a matte lip, blot first.
