Glow Fixation SPF 30 Sheer Tint Skin Enhancer

Closer to a tinted sunscreen than a foundation

Glow Fixation carries 22.75% zinc oxide, more than most sunscreens, which is what gives it SPF 30 and its sheer, skin-evening tint at the same time. Around the zinc sit squalane and argan oil for slip and moisture, niacinamide for the barrier and tone, allantoin and bisabolol to calm, and licorice root for brightness, with a fine synthetic mica for the lit-from-within finish.

The finish

Sheer and luminous. It does not cover; it evens, brightens and adds light, so skin looks rested rather than made up. Non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested, and recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

Where it sits in the line

The lightest-coverage base jane iredale makes and the highest zinc load. Dream Tint has more moisture and a touch more tint at SPF 15; Skintuition is the medium-coverage liquid at SPF 30; PurePressed Base is the powder for full coverage.

The fit

Worth knowing

Two shades here, Fair to Light and Light to Light Medium; each is designed to flex across a range because the tint is sheer. Fragrance-free, vegan, wheat-free. As with all makeup SPF, it counts as a second layer unless you apply it as generously as a sunscreen.

Mornings, after serum. Shake well, then press a generous layer over the face and neck with fingers, blending outward; it needs no tools. Wear alone or let it set for a minute before foundation.

For it to work as your SPF 30, apply as much as you would a sunscreen and reapply after two hours outdoors; otherwise wear it over a dedicated sunscreen.

Use alongside

Over Advanced Day Total Protect or Ultra Facial Defense SPF50+ on outdoor days. Under Skintuition or PurePressed Base as a glow base. Set with Pommisst. Remove at night with a cleansing oil before your usual cleanser.
