A rich night cream built around five ceramides with cholesterol and skin-identical sphingoids, plus squalane and N-acetyl glucosamine, for overnight barrier replenishment in dry and mature skin.

How it works

The fullest lipid deck on the shelf

Five ceramides, NP, AP, NS, EOP and EOS, with cholesterol, phytosphingosine and two caprooyl sphingoids: the most complete recreation of the barrier’s own lipid identity in our catalogue, delivered in a squalane-led cream with phytosterols and free linoleic acid. Dry, depleted and mature skin is short of exactly these molecules; the night jar restocks them while skin runs its own overnight repair shift.

The water and renewal side

Glycerin, snow mushroom (tremella, the plant hyaluronic-alternative) and sorbitol hold water; N-acetyl glucosamine, a building block of the skin’s own hyaluronic acid, supports hydration from within; saskatoon and dragon fruit bring antioxidant colour with two vitamin C esters and vitamin E on guard. A trace iron-binding peptide (ferric hexapeptide-35) rounds out the modern touches.

The night scent, declared

A genuine aromatherapy blend, neroli, lavender, chamomile, patchouli, vetiver, rosemary, orange, gives the cream its wind-down character, with three allergens declared and the daisy-family chamomile noted below.

Who it suits

Dry, mature and barrier-depleted skin wanting one serious night cream; retinoid users needing a generous landing over the Crystal Retinal ladder; and anyone whose skin ends winter thinner than it started.

Worth knowing

Contains Roman chamomile oil, a daisy-family plant, patch test with an Asteraceae allergy, plus six further essential oils with geraniol, limonene and linalool declared: fragrance-sensitive skin should consider Total Moisture or Humidify instead. Oily and congestion-prone skin will find this richer than it needs.

How to use

Evenings as the final step: massage over face and neck after serums or retinal. A smaller amount than expected is usually enough, the lipids spread far.

Layering

Use alongside

The closing act of the Medik8 night routine, over Crystal Retinal at any rung, over Liquid Peptides or Hydr8 B5 on gentler nights. It holds the rich-night-cream chair with Humidify, Reparative Moisture Emulsion and Restorative 8: one committed night jar per routine, chosen partly by scent tolerance, this is the perfumed one.

Before you start

Not suitable if

  • Asteraceae (daisy family) allergy — contains Roman chamomile oil
  • Known fragrance allergy — seven essential oils with declared geraniol, limonene, linalool

Good to know

  • Patch test on a small area of skin before first full use
