Brightening Serum

Sale price$134.00

A weightless brightening serum built around alpha-arbutin with sugarcane and bilberry botanicals, for uneven tone and post-blemish marks.

When to use Morning and/or evening, after cleansing
How it works

The brightener

Alpha-arbutin, the enzymatically made, stronger-binding form of nature’s gentled hydroquinone, sits high in a deliberately short formula, slowing tyrosinase, the enzyme that manufactures pigment. Less made today means less showing in a month.

The botanical support

Sugarcane and bilberry extracts lend a soft turnover assist so already-marked cells retire on schedule, seaweed (ascophyllum nodosum) contributes minerals and soothing polysaccharides, polyporus mushroom calms, and willow bark adds its mild salicylate chemistry low in the list.

The signature feel

The same fast-drying base and menthol coolness as Active Serum, a brief, deliberate chill on application that generations of clinic patients read as the starting gun.

The standing condition

Brightening compounds over eight to twelve weeks and only under daily SPF, sun undoes this work faster than any serum can redo it.

Who it suits

Uneven tone, sun spots and post-blemish marks in skin that prefers a weightless serum to a cream, especially combination and oilier skin, where the alcohol-light base disappears without residue. The 15ml introduces; the 30ml commits.

Worth knowing

Avoid with an aspirin (salicylate) allergy, willow bark is present. The menthol coolness is brief and intended, but very reactive or barrier-compromised skin should wait until settled. Take advice before use during pregnancy; hormone-driven pigmentation deserves our clinicians’ eyes before months of shelf treatment.

How to use

Morning and/or evening on clean, dry skin: 3–4 drops over the full face, even application, not spot treatment. Let it dry before layering. Expect the cool tingle for the first minute.

Every morning: SPF, for the life of the program.

Layering

Use alongside

The in-house program pairs it with Brightening Complex, serum first, cream over, and together they occupy the pigment-leader chair alongside Melan Tran3x, Complete Pigment Radiance and Pigment Punch +: one program at a time. With Active Serum, alternate evenings rather than stacking two menthol-alcohol serums the same night. Morning use sits under moisturiser and SPF; a bland moisturiser over it at night if skin runs dry.
