Pigment in a base of oils and plant waxes

The jane iredale Eye Pencil is pigment suspended in hydrogenated jojoba oil, meadowfoam, mango and macadamia seed oils and shea butter, set with candelilla and carnauba waxes rather than beeswax. That is why it is soft enough to glide along the lash line without dragging, blends to a smoky edge with a fingertip, and sets to stay put. Vitamin E and ascorbyl palmitate keep the oils fresh.

The finish

Matte and highly pigmented; a fine line for definition or softened for a smudged look. No synthetic fragrance, vegan, wheat-free and soy-free.

The fit

The everyday liner to go with mineral base and PureBrow. Basic Black for definition, Basic Brown for a softer daytime line that suits fair colouring.

Anyone who wants a soft pencil that blends; sensitive eyes that react to conventional liners, given the fragrance-free, beeswax-free formula; and a simple daytime line on fair to medium colouring with Basic Brown.

Worth knowing

Two shades here: Basic Black and Basic Brown. Sharpen with a cosmetic sharpener; keep the cap on, as the oil base softens in heat. Blend within a minute of applying, before it sets.

Draw along the upper lash line from the inner corner outward, keeping the pencil close to the lashes. For a smoky eye, smudge the line upward with a fingertip or brush before it sets. Use on the lower lash line sparingly for definition.

For a tightline, run the pencil along the upper waterline; check the waterline is comfortable for you first.

Use alongside

After PurePressed Base, Skintuition or Glow Fixation, before PureBrow Brow Gel. Set with a little PurePressed powder over the line for longer wear. Remove at night with a cleansing oil.
