Jojoba Esters

Small, smooth spheres derived from jojoba oil, used as the polishing particles in physical exfoliants.

How it works

Unlike crushed shells or seeds, jojoba ester beads are spherical, so they roll over the skin surface rather than dragging edges across it — lifting loose surface cells with far less micro-abrasion. They soften slightly with massage and are fully biodegradable, unlike the plastic microbeads they replaced.

Tolerability

One of the gentlest physical exfoliant media available. Any physical exfoliation is still best kept off broken or actively inflamed skin.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

No concerns are associated with topical use; conventionally considered suitable.
