How it works

Glycolic acid, third on the list, does the measurable work of loosening dull surface cells, with salicylic and lactic acids in supporting roles. A botanical complex of white tea, bilberry, grape, mulberry and baikal skullcap leans on the brightening side, and the formula finishes with a natural citrus and cedarwood scent rather than added fragrance.

Who it suits

Dull, uneven or sun-tired skin that tolerates acids; the resurfacing half of an evening brightening routine.

How to use

Evenings on clean, dry skin, two to three nights a week to start, building as tolerated. Follow with moisturiser. Daily SPF is essential while using this serum.

Layering

Keep it off retinoid nights when starting out, and give the bergamot in the formula extra respect: this is strictly an evening product with sunscreen the next morning.
