Warming Honey Cleanser

Sale price$77.00

A self-warming cleanser built on an anhydrous glycerin and honey base with royal jelly, propolis and papain, for normal to dry skin.

When to use Morning or evening, first step, best as the evening ritual
How it works

The warmth is real physics

The base is anhydrous, concentrated glycerin with no water in the jar. When glycerin at that concentration meets the water on damp skin, hydration releases heat, and the cleanser warms noticeably for the first half-minute. It is a genuine thermodynamic effect, and a pleasant way to soften sebum and start a massage.

The hive at work

Honey, second in the formula, binds water and brings its gentle osmotic antimicrobial character; royal jelly conditions; propolis adds the hive’s own protective resin. Between them sits papain, the papaya enzyme, giving each wash the faintest polishing edge without approaching real exfoliation.

The clean itself

Olive-derived esters and a mild sulfoacetate surfactant (no relation to harsh sulfates beyond the unfortunate name) emulsify oil and the day, rinsing complete without squeak, green tea rides along as the antioxidant.

The role it plays

This is the comfort cleanse: winter mornings, long-day evenings, and the massage-cleanse before a masque.

Who it suits

Normal and dry skin wanting cleansing that feels like care rather than removal; cold-climate and cold-season routines; and anyone building a slow-beauty evening ritual. Combination skin uses it happily as the evening indulgence.

Worth knowing

Contains honey, royal jelly and propolis, avoid with a bee-product allergy, and note propolis is a recognised contact sensitiser: patch test if allergy-prone. Contains papain; patch test with a latex allergy (the latex-fruit crossover). Fragrance-free, the honeyed scent is the ingredients themselves.

How to use

On damp skin: massage a small amount in slow circles and enjoy the warmth as it builds, a full minute is the point, not a penalty, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

As a pre-masque massage cleanse it has no equal on this shelf.

Layering

Use alongside

The indulgence seat on the cleanser shelf, Cleansing Complex is the daily universal, Cream Cleanser the dry-skin gentle, Warming Honey the ritual. Many keep it as the evening cleanse in winter and the pre-Tri-Active massage step year-round. Everything in the routine follows it happily.
