Medik8's daily defence moisturiser: a lightweight, invisible-finish day cream that shields skin against pollution, blue light and glycation, with the photolyase repair enzyme supporting skin's own recovery. Not a sunscreen in Australia: wear your SPF over it.

How it works

Defence beyond the obvious

A day moisturiser built around the environmental load that ages skin between sunscreens: pollution, blue light and glycation, the sugar-bonding that stiffens collagen and elastin over time. Medik8 formulates against all three in one lightweight cream.

The repair enzyme

Photolyase, a DNA repair enzyme borrowed from organisms that live in full daylight, is the formula's distinctive inclusion: support for the skin's own repair mechanisms, working on the day's damage rather than only preventing it.

The finish

Non-greasy, non-comedogenic and invisible on every skin tone in Medik8's consumer testing, which makes it wearable under makeup and, importantly, under sunscreen.

Who it suits

City skin wanting a daytime shield against more than sun; mature skin where glycation is part of the picture; and anyone building a morning routine with a dedicated SPF already in it.

Worth knowing

Advanced Day Ultimate Protect is sold internationally with a sun protection rating, but it is not listed as a sunscreen with the TGA in Australia, so we make no sun protection claim for it here. Treat it as your moisturiser and apply a listed SPF50+ over the top every morning.

How to use

Mornings after serums: massage a small amount over face and neck, then follow with a listed SPF as the final step.

Allow a minute to settle before sunscreen or makeup.

Layering

Use alongside

Over Super C Ferulic or C-Tetra Advanced, and always under a listed sunscreen, Melan 130 or Ultra Facial Defense being the house options. Crystal Retinal takes the evening shift.
