Carnosine, twelfth in the formula, is the anti-glycation dipeptide: it takes the sugar-chemistry hit that would otherwise stiffen and cross-link collagen, and chelates the metal ions that accelerate the damage. Ageing support usually obsesses over making new collagen; this cream spends equally on defending the existing stock.

Collagen amino acids supply raw material, a renewal oligopeptide (Medik8's GF MiniProtein™) and a micrococcus postbiotic lysate signal, and N-acetyl glucosamine supports the hyaluronic matrix collagen sits in, with sodium hyaluronate and polyglutamate holding water at the surface.

The same five-ceramide, cholesterol-and-sphingoid set as Advanced Night Restore, in a lighter squalane-shea emulsion that wears day or night, firm skin needs a fed barrier, and this formula refuses to choose.
