Ceramide Serum

Replacement, not just coating

Skin’s barrier is a wall of lipids in a specific mix, ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. This serum supplies that mix directly: three ceramide classes (NP, AP, and the long-chain EOP), cholesterol, linoleic and linolenic acids, and phytosphingosine, the backbone skin uses to build ceramides of its own.

The repair signal

Copper tripeptide-1, GHK-Cu, is associated in research with tissue-remodelling signals and collagen markers, joined by four further peptides. Where the lipids replace, the peptides are included to encourage.

The water side

Hyaluronic acid and glycerin hold water in the rebuilt structure; tocotrienols and vitamin E run antioxidant defence.

Fragrance-free

No fragrance, no essential oils, appropriate for the barrier-compromised skin it is built for.

Compromised, thinned or over-processed barriers: skin recovering from too many actives, harsh weather, or clinical treatments, and mature skin whose barrier simply makes less of everything now.

Worth knowing

Plays well with almost everything, but apply strong direct acids at a different time of day, they can destabilise the copper-peptide complex applied together.

Morning and evening, smooth four to five drops over clean skin before (or instead of) moisturiser.

On its richest days, very dry skin can use it as the final step outright.
