An eye cream built around 0.03% encapsulated retinaldehyde buffered in shea, squalane and ceramide NP, vitamin A calibrated for the eye area. Contains retinal; not for use during pregnancy.

When to use Evenings, eye area, start two to three nights a week
How it works

Vitamin A, sized for the eye area

The skin around the eyes creases first and tolerates least, so this delivers 0.03% encapsulated retinaldehyde, the strength of Crystal Retinal 3, wrapped in the ladder’s cyclodextrin slow-release and buffered in a genuine eye-cream base: shea, squalane, phytosterols and ceramide NP with free linoleic acid feeding the thin barrier as the retinal works.

The comfort details

Bisabolol soothes, hyaluronic acid waters, and red fruit oil (Pandanus conoideus, the carotenoid-rich Papuan berry) joins carrot seed and cloudberry in the vitamin-A-adjacent botanical bench. Fragrance-free, no vanilla-tonka scent in the eye version, deliberately.

Why a dedicated eye retinal

Face-strength retinoids migrate and overwhelm the orbital area; an eye-calibrated dose with a lipid buffer lets crow’s feet and fine lines get consistent vitamin A without the penalty. The same ladder logic applies: this is the eye area’s starting and staying strength for most.

Who it suits

Expression lines and early crepiness at the eyes; Crystal Retinal users extending the ladder to the orbital area; and retinoid-experienced skin wanting the eye zone included at last.

Worth knowing

Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, this applies to every retinoid. Even buffered, expect possible mild dryness in the first weeks; it settles. Keep to the orbital bone, not the lash line. Peptide alternatives (Youth Eye Complex) serve those avoiding vitamin A.

How to use

Evenings: a rice-grain amount patted around the orbital bone with the ring finger, outer corner inward below, brow bone above. Start two to three nights a week, building to nightly.

High SPF (and sunglasses) every morning, the eye area doubly rewards both.

Layering

Use alongside

The eye extension of the Crystal Retinal ladder, run it the same nights as your face retinal or on its own schedule; the dose is eye-calibrated either way. It takes the retinoid seat of the eye-cream chair, with Youth Eye Complex as the peptide seat and C Eye Serum as the morning brightener: the three cover different jobs and different tolerances.

Before you start
