Exfol A Plus

Sale price$156.00

A night-use retinol treatment combined with exfoliating lactic acid, for experienced users under practitioner guidance.

When to use Evening, 2 nights a week building as tolerated
How it works

Two resurfacing pathways at once

Lactic acid, high in this formula, loosens the bonds holding dull surface cells, working from the outside in. Retinol and retinyl palmitate convert toward retinoic acid and work from the inside out, with research associating retinoid receptor activity with epidermal turnover and fibroblast activity. The combination is why this sits in the practitioner line.

The support layer

Canadian Willowherb, vitamin E, a chromanol antioxidant, blue-green algae and Australian native extracts steady a formula that is doing real work.

Retinisation and then some

Expect a genuine adjustment period, the acid means the retinoid’s early dryness arrives with company. Introduce on two nights a week and build slowly.

Non-negotiable

Evenings only. Daily broad-spectrum SPF, this formula meaningfully raises UV sensitivity on both counts.

Who it suits

Experienced skin working on texture, fine lines and tone together, typically graduating from a plain retinol like Retinol Brulee, or guided here by their clinician.

Not the place to start

New to retinoids or acids? Start with one pathway at a time.

Not suitable

During pregnancy or while breastfeeding, in line with standard retinoid guidance.

How to use

Evenings only, a pea-sized amount on clean, dry skin, starting two nights a week and building as tolerated.

Follow with moisturiser, Restorative 8 is the natural partner. SPF every morning, without exception.

Layering

Use alongside

A gentle cleanse (Nurturing Cream Cleanser during adjustment weeks) and an unactive moisturiser. That is the whole evening on Exfol A nights.

Keep apart from

All other retinoids, exfoliating acids, the Illuminating Polish and the Fruit Enzyme Mask, this product is both pathways already.
