The mineral pair

Zinc oxide at 25%, a serious commitment by any mineral-formula standard, carries protection across UVB and the full UVA range, with titanium dioxide at 7.7% reinforcing the shorter wavelengths. SPF 50+ protection against solar radiation; used as directed, it may reduce the risk of some skin cancers and can aid in the prevention of sunspots. No sunscreen blocks everything: avoid prolonged sun, and add protective clothing, a hat and eyewear.

Worth knowing

Contains soya bean and milk products, avoid with soy or dairy allergy. Not for broken, damaged or diseased skin, and keep it out of the eyes. The iron-oxide tint is universal-leaning but worth checking against very fair or very deep skin tones before committing.

Apply generously 20 minutes before sun exposure as the final skincare step. Reapply frequently, and always after swimming, sweating or towelling.
