How it works

Exfoliation with a brightening agenda

Glycolic and lactic acids sit third and fourth on the label, with mandelic acid behind them: three alpha-hydroxy acids of different sizes loosening dull, pigmented surface cells at different depths. What makes these pads a tone treatment rather than a plain exfoliant is the brightening layer underneath: kojic acid and a tranexamic-acid peptide (tranexamoyl dipeptide-23) to slow pigment production, and phytic acid as a gentle antioxidant chelator.

The calm side

Revision buffers the acids to a near-neutral pH and leaves out alcohol, then adds green tea, chamomile, hyacinth and a lactobacillus postbiotic to keep the skin's surface and microbiome settled. Each pad is dual-sided, smooth for gentle swipes and textured when you want more smoothing.

The fit

The evening resurfacing step in a Revision pigment routine, three to four nights a week, feeding into Advanced Pigment Corrector+ and C+ Correcting Complex 30%.

Who it suits

Uneven tone, post-blemish marks, sun-driven discolouration, dullness, rough texture and visible pores; anyone who wants the pigment benefits of acids without a stinging, alcohol-based pad.

Worth knowing

Advisory tier. Leave-on glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids plus kojic acid: start two or three nights a week, daily SPF is essential, and do not use on the same night as a retinoid or another acid. Contains fragrance with declared limonene and chamomile, so patch test with fragrance or daisy-family sensitivity. Pregnancy: check with your clinician before using leave-on acids and kojic acid.

How to use

Evenings on clean, dry skin: swipe one pad over face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area, smooth side for a gentler pass or textured side for more smoothing. No rinsing. Follow with serum and moisturiser. Use three to four nights a week as tolerated, and SPF 50+ every morning. 30 pads.

Layering

Use alongside

On pad nights follow with Advanced Pigment Corrector+ and D·E·J Night Face Cream only if your skin is used to both, otherwise keep the retinol cream for the other nights. C+ Correcting Complex 30% in the morning completes the pigment routine. Never on the same night as another acid or a retinoid.

Before you start

Not suitable if

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — leave-on AHAs and kojic acid; seek clinician advice first
  • Do not combine with retinoids or other leave-on acids on the same night
  • Daily SPF required
  • Known fragrance allergy — contains parfum and limonene
  • Asteraceae (daisy family) allergy — contains chamomile
  • Broken or currently reactive skin — wait until settled

Good to know

  • Patch test on a small area of skin before first full use
  • Increases skin sensitivity to UV. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily
  • Speak to your doctor before use during pregnancy
