SkinCeuticals' two anchor serums for visible ageing, both full size. C E Ferulic, 15% pure vitamin C with 1% vitamin E and 0.5% ferulic acid, protects against the environmental damage behind lines and uneven tone and brightens with consistent use. H.A. Intensifier Multi-Glycan follows with 1.3% pure hyaluronic acid, 12% proxylane and a post-biotic ferment to re-plump, soften fine lines and hold hydration through the day. Together: protection in the morning, volume restored over weeks.

Valued at $433, the set includes:

  • C E Ferulic 30ml, valued at $258
  • H.A. Intensifier Multi-Glycan 30ml, valued at $175
When to use Morning: C E Ferulic then H.A. Intensifier, before moisturiser and SPF
How it works

Protect, then re-plump

C E Ferulic is the reference antioxidant serum: 15% pure L-ascorbic acid, 1% alpha tocopherol and 0.5% ferulic acid at the low pH that lets vitamin C enter the skin, neutralising the free radicals that UV and pollution generate and that drive collagen loss over time. Its work is protective first and corrective second: brighter tone and softer lines follow months of consistent use.

The volume step

H.A. Intensifier Multi-Glycan sits over it: 1.3% pure hyaluronic acid with 12% proxylane and a post-biotic ferment, built to support the skin's own hyaluronic acid rather than only sit on the surface. SkinCeuticals' testing reports a visible reduction in fine lines of 24% and hydration held for 24 hours.

The fit

The two serums answer the two sides of visible ageing, environmental damage and volume loss, in a morning routine that takes under a minute. Both full size.

Who it suits

Skin showing the first signs of ageing, fine lines and loss of plumpness; anyone building a SkinCeuticals routine from scratch who wants the two anchor serums together; and existing C E Ferulic users adding the hydration step.

Worth knowing

C E Ferulic is fragrance-free; H.A. Intensifier is scented with mandarin peel oil and contains capryloyl salicylic acid, so check it with a citrus or salicylate sensitivity. Both are suitable in pregnancy. C E Ferulic can tingle on reactive or freshly treated skin until the barrier settles.

How to use

Mornings on cleansed, dry skin. Apply four to five drops of C E Ferulic to face, neck and chest and let it absorb. Follow with H.A. Intensifier, pressed over the same areas, then moisturiser and SPF 50+.

H.A. Intensifier can also be used in the evening under your night cream.

Layering

Use alongside

Triple Lipid Restore or A.G.E. Interrupter as the morning moisturiser, Ultra Facial Defense SPF50+ to finish, and a Retinol night cream in the evening once skin is ready. Keep C E Ferulic as the first serum on skin; everything else layers over it.

Before you start

Not suitable if

  • Very reactive, eczema-prone or freshly compromised skin — the low pH can sting until the barrier recovers
  • Salicylate (aspirin) sensitivity — contains capryloyl salicylic acid
  • Citrus allergy or fragrance sensitivity — scented with mandarin peel oil

Good to know

  • Patch test on a small area of skin before first full use
