How it works

Purastat 5 Cleanser

A low-foaming cleanser with lactic acid, nettle and Canadian willowherb: it lifts oil, makeup and surface congestion while leaving the barrier intact, so skin is clean without that tight, squeaky finish.

Phytostat 9

A classic cream moisturiser built on nine plant oils and butters with peptides, sea buckthorn and vitamin E: it softens, holds water in and supports the barrier, morning and night.

Why together

The cleanser does the clearing, the cream does the comforting. Between them they cover the two non-negotiable steps of any routine, with room for serums in the middle.

Who it suits

Combination and congestion-prone skin that still runs dry or tight; anyone starting a routine who wants the essentials from one brand; and skin recovering from over-exfoliation that needs a gentler cleanse and a richer finish.

Worth knowing

Both products contain essential oils and fragrance, and Phytostat 9 contains sweet almond and macadamia oils. Not for known citrus, fragrance or tree nut allergies. Suitable during pregnancy.

How to use

Morning and evening: massage Purastat 5 over damp skin, rinse, then apply serums if using and finish with Phytostat 9 on face and neck.

SPF over the top in the morning.

Layering

Use alongside

Extreme B 17 and Extreme C 20 between the two steps, or Retinol Brightening Cream at night once skin is settled. Add Hydrating Serum under Phytostat 9 if skin runs very dry.
