Tri-Active Exfoliating Masque

Three mechanisms, one sitting

Physical: fine plant cellulose, softer-edged than crushed minerals, polishes as you massage. Chemical: salicylic acid, the oil-soluble acid, follows sebum into the pore lining. Enzymatic: papain and bromelain, the papaya and pineapple proteases, digest the protein bonds holding spent surface cells in place, working only where they touch and stopping at the rinse.

Why three beats one

Each mode has a blind spot, scrubs miss the pore, acids take time, enzymes stay shallow. Layered in one masque at moderate individual strengths, they cover each other: more even results than any single mode pushed harder.

The counterweight

Copper PCA, hydrating mineral salt, and vitamin B5 sit alongside a glycerin base, so the masque exfoliates from a cushion rather than a stripped surface.

The discipline

Exfoliation is a budget, not a race: once or twice a week, never the same night as leave-on acids or retinoids, and always under next-morning SPF.

Dull, rough-textured and congestion-prone skin wanting a decisive weekly treatment, and combination skin whose T-zone and cheeks never agree on a single exfoliation mode.

Worth knowing

Contains papaya and pineapple enzymes, patch test with a latex allergy (the latex-fruit crossover is real), and avoid with an aspirin (salicylate) allergy. Orange peel oil provides the scent; note it if citrus-sensitive. Not for broken, reactive or freshly treated skin, and never the same week as Active Peel System.

On clean, slightly damp skin: massage a thin layer in gentle circles, avoiding the eye area. Leave 5–10 minutes for the acid and enzymes to work, then massage again briefly with wet fingers, the physical pass, and rinse thoroughly.

Once or twice weekly, evenings. High SPF next morning.
