How it works

Getting skin ready, literally

This is ZO's own answer to the question of where to start: Gentle Cleanser resets the surface without stripping it, Exfoliating Polish physically buffs away the roughest build-up, and Complexion Renewal Pads follow with salicylic and glycolic acid to finish the work chemically.

Two exfoliants, deliberately separated

The polish and the pads both exfoliate, by different mechanisms, and are not meant to be run the same day. Alternating them through the week gives skin a steady drumbeat of renewal without overworking the barrier.

What it prepares skin for

This pack is the on-ramp: run it for one to two weeks before starting a new retinoid, acid or peptide routine, or any time skin needs a reset between programs.

Who it suits

Skin about to start a new ZO or Epios routine and needing a clean base to build from; congested or texturally rough skin wanting a short, structured reset; and first-time ZO users trialling the brand's approach in travel sizes before committing to full bottles.

Worth knowing

All three formulas carry ZO's signature scent with fragrance allergens on the label. The pads contain salicylic acid, skip with an aspirin allergy, and the polish carries a trace of retinyl palmitate, worth a conversation with your clinician if pregnant.

How to use

Morning and evening: cleanse with Gentle Cleanser. Two to three times a week, follow with Exfoliating Polish massaged over damp skin and rinsed off. On the alternate days, sweep a Complexion Renewal Pad over face and neck after cleansing.

Never run the polish and the pads in the same session; let the week's rotation do the work gradually.

Layering

Use alongside

A simple moisturiser and daily SPF are the only additions this pack needs. Once the reset is done, Daily Power Defense and Soothing Hydro Mist are the natural next steps into a full ZO routine.

Not suitable if

  • Aspirin (salicylate) allergy — pads contain salicylic acid
  • Fragrance sensitivity — all three formulas are perfumed with allergens on the label
  • Pregnancy — polish contains a trace of retinyl palmitate; check with your clinician

  • Patch test on a small area of skin before first full use
  • Increases skin sensitivity to UV. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily
