The postbiotic

Lactobacillus ferment lysate sits seventh in the formula, fragments of cultured lactobacillus that the skin’s surface sensors read as a friendly microbial presence. Research has associated these lysates with stronger barrier function and a calmer response to irritation, effects that build over weeks rather than days.

The moisture architecture

Squalane, a match for lipids the skin makes itself, with mango seed butter and olive-derived emollients supplies the barrier lipids, while glycerin and snow mushroom (tremella, whose polysaccharides hold water much like hyaluronic acid) handle the water side.

The adaptogen bench

Reishi, chaga, rhodiola, ashwagandha, chlorella, ginger, boswellia and grape, a broad antioxidant and soothing chorus, joined by a second ferment (radish root) and aspen bark extract.

The comfort pair

Panthenol and bisabolol, the same two calming standards found across the sensitive-skin category.
