Fruit, acid and ferment

Cranberry fruit, second on the label, brings natural fruit acids and enzymes; L-lactic acid and the PHA pair (gluconic acid, gluconolactone) loosen dull surface cells; and an Aspergillus molasses ferment adds enzymatic support. Together: a genuine but measured weekly exfoliation.

The antioxidant defence

Superoxide dismutase, an antioxidant enzyme that keeps catalysing rather than being used up, pairs with glutathione, with the Ayurvedic botanical blend (neem, turmeric, holy basil, bhringraj) in support.

The experience

Expect a tingle, cranberry and lactic acid announce themselves. Mild warmth is normal; hot or stinging means rinse early.

After masking

The fresh surface is more UV-sensitive; SPF the next morning is part of the treatment.

Dull, rough or congestion-prone skin wanting a weekly working mask with proper feedback, the step up in sensation from a pure enzyme mask.

Worth knowing

Contains three citrus oils with declared limonene, linalool and citral, and bhringraj (a daisy-family plant), patch test for fragrance or Asteraceae allergy. Not for broken or freshly-exfoliated skin.

Once or twice a week, apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin avoiding the eye area.

Leave five to ten minutes depending on tolerance, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Use alongside

Any routine, on nights clear of other exfoliation, not the same evening as leave-on acids, retinoids or other masks.

Follow with a plain moisturiser and nothing else that night.
