ZO's reformulated night treatment for blemish-prone skin: 0.3% retinol with bakuchiol, salicylic acid, an azelaic derivative and tranexamic compound, for clearer pores and softer-looking marks, fragrance-free.

When to use Evenings, after cleansing, phased in gradually
How it works

Renewal for skin that breaks out

0.3% retinol and bakuchiol drive turnover while salicylic acid keeps pores clear, the combination adult blemish-prone skin usually has to assemble from two products.

The mark-fading bench

Potassium azeloyl diglycinate, a gentled azelaic acid derivative, and cetyl tranexamate mesylate work on the pigmented souvenirs blemishes leave, with niacinamide and stabilised vitamin C on tone and oil balance.

The settling layer

Edelweiss and horehound meristem cell cultures with rosehip and caffeine keep the formula calm, and it is fragrance-free, unusually for the ZO range.

Who it suits

Adult congestion and breakouts that come with early lines and post-blemish marks; skin stepping up from a clarifying serum to a retinoid; and users of the original Retinol + Blemish Complex moving to the reformulation.

Worth knowing

Contains retinol: phase in gradually, wear SPF daily and set it aside during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contains salicylic acid, skip it with an aspirin allergy, and sulfites. Fragrance-free.

How to use

Evenings on cleansed, dry skin: a pea-sized amount over face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Twice weekly to begin, building to nightly as tolerance settles.

Daily SPF the next morning is part of the program.

Layering

Use alongside

Exfoliating Cleanser and Oil Control Pads ahead of it complete the ZO congestion routine; keep other retinoids and additional leave-on acids off the same night. SPF every morning.
