The cleansing system

Foaming, coconut- and sugar-derived surfactants produce a light lather that lifts oil, sunscreen and makeup and rinses without residue, suited to skin that produces enough oil to want a proper foam.

Lactic acid and fruit extracts

A low level of lactic acid, supported by bilberry, sugar cane, citrus and maple extracts, leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. The levels are those of a rinse-off cleanser, this is not an exfoliating acid treatment.

Lemon myrtle

An Australian native whose leaf oil research associates with antimicrobial activity, included alongside the clean citrus scent it brings.

The calming counterweight

Canadian Willowherb and nettle root extract are included to keep the after-feel calm, offsetting the freshness of a foaming cleanse.

Normal, combination and oily skin, and skin prone to congestion or breakouts.

Skin that enjoys a proper foaming cleanse without the stripped feeling afterwards.

Worth knowing

The formula includes citrus and lemon myrtle oils with declared citral. Very fragrance-sensitive or reactive skin will likely prefer Gentle Clean, and should patch test this one first.

Morning and evening, work a small amount into a lather on damp skin.

Massage over the face, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.

Use alongside

Any routine, cleansing is the neutral first step.

If your evening routine includes strong exfoliating acids, alternate with a gentler cleanse on those nights so the acids do the work.
