Stop Spot

Sale price$19.00

A targeted blemish gel combining salicylic acid with soothing botanicals for individual spots.

When to use As needed, directly on blemishes, morning and evening
How it works

Into the pore

Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it follows sebum into the pore itself, the place a spot actually forms, where research associates it with dissolving the plug of oil and dead cells. The fast-evaporating alcohol base delivers it and dries in seconds.

Calming the look

Niacinamide sits unusually high in the formula for a spot gel, included to settle the look of redness around the blemish while the salicylic works.

The botanicals

Lemon-scented tea tree contributes research-associated antimicrobial activity, with copaiba resin, andiroba and açaí oils as the traditional botanical support.

Spot means spot

The alcohol base that makes it dry instantly also makes it too drying for all-over use. One dab per blemish is the whole technique.

Who it suits

Breakout-prone skin of any type, kept in the cabinet for the occasional intruder, or in rotation for skin that breaks out regularly.

Worth knowing

Contains declared fragrance allergens from its essential oils; patch test if fragrance-reactive. Stings on broken or picked skin, apply to intact blemishes, not open ones.

How to use

After cleansing, dab a small amount directly onto the blemish with a clean fingertip. Let it dry before anything goes over it.

Use morning and evening on active spots. Resist the urge to reapply endlessly, twice daily is the dose.

Layering

Use alongside

Your normal routine, apply Stop Spot to the blemish first on clean skin, let it dry, then continue around it.

Keep apart from

Retinal LGS+ or the Illuminating Polish on the same spot in the same session, the blemish is already getting its acid.
