Clarity

Sale price$83.00

A clarifying serum built around salicylic acid with soothing botanicals for oily, blemish-prone skin.

When to use Evening, 2–3 nights a week building as tolerated
How it works

Into the pore, and beneath it

Salicylic acid follows oil into the pore, the place congestion actually forms, where research associates it with dissolving the plug of sebum and dead cells. Acetylsalicylic acid, its close cousin, works alongside. Retinol and retinyl acetate address the turnover patterns underneath that keep pores refilling.

The peacekeepers

Niacinamide sits high in the formula to settle the look of redness; tea tree adds its research-associated antimicrobial activity; Canadian Willowherb, chamomile and aloe soften the experience; saw palmetto and stone root round out the botanical support.

Why advisory

A salicylate pair plus two retinoids is a genuine combination treatment, effective, and demanding of respect. Introduce slowly and never stack it with other actives.

Non-negotiable

Evenings only, and daily broad-spectrum SPF, both the salicylates and the retinoids raise UV sensitivity.

Who it suits

Breakout-prone skin past the beginner stage, managing congestion, post-blemish marks and texture together, ideally with clinician guidance.

Not suitable

During pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or with an aspirin allergy, this formula contains acetylsalicylic acid, the aspirin molecule itself, not merely a cross-reactive relative.

Worth knowing

Four essential oils (tea tree, grapefruit, eucalyptus, rosemary) and chamomile; patch test for fragrance or Asteraceae sensitivity. The alcohol-forward base is brisk by design, moisturise promptly after.

How to use

Evenings only. Start with a thin layer over affected areas two to three nights a week, building as tolerated.

Follow with a plain moisturiser. SPF every morning, without exception.

Layering

Use alongside

A gentle cleanse and plain moisturiser, that is the whole evening on Clarity nights. Benefit Clean mornings; Stop Spot for individual intruders on other days.

Keep apart from

All other retinoids, acids, enzyme masks and exfoliating cleansers on the same day, this serum is already several actives.
