Niacinamide sits third in the formula, research associates it with barrier lipid support, oil regulation and evenness of tone, flanked by panthenol in two forms and the full B roster: folic acid, biotin, inositol, B1, B2, B6 and B12.

The adaptogen layer

Albatrellus mushroom extract is associated in research with quieting the sensory nerve pathways behind stinging and reactive heat, and naringenin, a citrus flavonoid, adds antioxidant support. Together they aim this serum at skin that overreacts.

The conditioning base

Hemp callus lysate (a lab-grown plant-cell preparation, no CBD or THC), meadowfoam and rice bran oils, yeast extract and a soothing peptide round out a deliberately quiet formula.

Like its retail sibling Extreme B 17, this is the serum that makes retinoids and acids more liveable, the difference is the adaptogen focus for genuinely reactive skin.
